The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Shanlaragh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Marcon came free, but Brennan Coyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Francesco Ciolli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Blar McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shanlaragh AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Blar McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Lazzaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brennan Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Basso in the 9th minute of the match. Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Ciolli in the 11th minute of play. Shanlaragh AFC's Pierce McBjarton managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emiliano Marcon in the 14 minute of the game. Shanlaragh AFC's Brennan Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Basso in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Barry McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shanlaragh AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barry McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Brennan Coyle throw himself and got hold of the ball when Francesco Ciolli in the 19thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 23rd minute, Panico FC's Damiano Basso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Damiano Basso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brennan Coyle came out and tried to block the shot, but Damiano Basso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. A hard shot 32 in the game by Francesco Ciolli from a close distance when the talented Brennan Coyle managed to make a qualified save. Shanlaragh AFC's players were relieved. Aurelio Volta made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Emiliano Marcon. Alessandro Lazzaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blar McJames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Lazzaro came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Shanlaragh AFC's Pearse McOliver. But to his dismay, Pearse McOliver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 46th minute, Concetto Fulgenzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panico FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Brennan Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Fulgenzi in the 53rd minute of play. Francesco Ciolli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brennan Coyle having to interfere. Alessandro Lazzaro made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Blar McJames sent off a good shot on target. Brennan Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Ciolli in the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Panico FC booed when Shanlaragh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordan Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Basilico made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Shanlaragh AFC's Bohannon Ryan. Damiano Basso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Lazzaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blar McJames in the 73rd minute. Panico FC's Damiano Basso got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Armando Ciscato came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Panico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Ciscato couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Panico FC defense, Blar McJames kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Lazzaro. The Panico FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Lazzaro should have stopped the shot. Amerigo Basilico made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Shanlaragh AFC's Pearse McOliver. Alessandro Lazzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blar McJames in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Blar McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shanlaragh AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blar McJames was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barry McGlynn's late challenge caught a Panico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barry McGlynn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th match minute, Shanlaragh AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Panico FC were the better team. Panico FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
