The audience was convinced that Felix Dry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils Nässén was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Wally Heath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Nässén having to interfere. The supporters of Medway FC booed when Hakenäset FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Alrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Vilhelm Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Mortimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Dry kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nils Nässén. That made the score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. Jordan Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nils Nässén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trevor Jones hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Felix Dry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medway FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Dry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
