The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Izotz in the 53rd minute of play. If Melquiades Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilie Grecescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Federico Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Cavalcante in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Macerio came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Majadita FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fireball Esporte Clube throughout the match.
