Though ot was a great shot Goranesti's keeper Hubert Villa was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Goranesti's Hubert Villa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reese Otto in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match Zamalek FC got a corner. Goranesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chunche Montero ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the last second Hubert Villa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Reese Otto in the 25thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 27th minute Avram Petrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Villa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Tytus Banaszak sent off a good shot on target. Hubert Villa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reese Otto in the 30th minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Reese Otto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goranesti's Hubert Villa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Goranesti's goalkeeper Hubert Villa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tytus Banaszak. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Gherasim in the 37th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Gherasim in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Viktor Schukin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zamalek FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goranesti the free kick. The supporters of Goranesti booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Schukin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Queirós hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Filip came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Filip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Gherasim made a kick off. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Gherasim, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tytus Banaszak in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hubert Villa saved Goranesti from getting behind. In the 68th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergey Krasinskiy to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daron Joseph in the 70th managed to get into a good position. Goranesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daron Joseph was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Goranesti's Rareș Trifănucă was substituted for Filip Beligan. After having played for 78 minutes, Daron Joseph managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zamalek FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daron Joseph was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigi Filip kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Goranesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim Pintilie to maneuver through the defense. 武挺西 struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Hubert Villa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zamalek FC. 86 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Gherasim.
