The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4th play minutes Pastor Oriche shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Armandinho Mattos and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 6th play minute Osvaldo Mero came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Armandinho Mattos. 2-0. Pastor Oriche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Armandinho Mattos made a huge save. Julio Servando made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pastor Oriche. Armandinho Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Oriche's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Alonzo Vincente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Armandinho Mattos made a huge save. In the 28th match minute, Wakanda fv FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Armandinho Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Oriche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Osvaldo Mero could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Armandinho Mattos however easily saved by the left post. Pastor Oriche blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armandinho Mattos having to make a save. Pastor Oriche didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 41st minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Pastor Oriche ran dejectedly back to his position. 41 minutes into the game, Formentera's Osvaldo Mero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armandinho Mattos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Oriche in the 44th minute of play forced Wakanda fv FSCMZ's goalkeeper Armandinho Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pastor Oriche made a kick off. After 63 minutes, Severino Santo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wakanda fv FSCMZ and the Formentera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pastor Oriche in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armandinho Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Formentera's Alonzo Vincente was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armandinho Mattos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 67 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Seme. 70 minutes into the match, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Vincente came free, but Armandinho Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Wakanda fv FSCMZ defense, Pastor Oriche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armandinho Mattos. The Wakanda fv FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armandinho Mattos should have stopped the shot. Oswaldo Gonçalves hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Alonzo Vincente shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armandinho Mattos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute Arnulfo Seme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Leonardo Arotza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wakanda fv FSCMZ the free kick. 81 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Valladares came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armandinho Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Mero in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes, Formentera's Alonzo Vincente shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armandinho Mattos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Formentera reached it. 89 minutes into the match, Wakanda fv FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Seme came free, but Armandinho Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Pastor Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Formentera were the better team. Formentera's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
