After 4th play minutes Anatol Hönes shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Hayden Baker and just under the crossbar into goal. 10 minutes into the match, Tom Beaune notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker. Hayden Baker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Abeitia in the 16th minute of play. Hayden Baker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Abeitia in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wendell Borges to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Kurt Poynton took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Guy Durant to make any attempt to save it. Hayden Baker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Beaune, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Hayden Baker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Beaune, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Severo Laurentzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polonia Basildon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lyon 69ers the free kick. After a rather tough play, Polonia Basildon's Severo Laurentzi got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Gerardo Abeitia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hayden Baker was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severo Laurentzi made a kick off. In the 51st minute, J.C. Smith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Anatol Hönes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hayden Baker made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Tom Beaune sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute Lyon 69ers were awarded a corner. Slaveyko Grúbchev went to the cornerflag to take it. Hayden Baker made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Anatol Hönes sent off a good shot on target. When Lyon 69ers's Anatol Hönes in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Polonia Basildon's goalie prevented a goal. Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Polonia Basildon from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute Tom Beaune shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polonia Basildon's Hayden Baker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Polonia Basildon from getting a goal against them. Wendell Borges made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rodolphe Sol however managed to control. Hayden Baker made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Anatol Hönes sent off a good shot on target. Hayden Baker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Abeitia in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes Polonia Basildon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Slaveyko Grúbchev who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Mathias Lecanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Guy Durant came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Polonia Basildon's Severo Laurentzi. But to his dismay, Severo Laurentzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. 91 minutes into the match, Polonia Basildon's goalkeeper Hayden Baker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatol Hönes. In the 94th minute Gerardo Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyon 69ers were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Polonia Basildon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Slaveyko Grúbchev took the corner. When the match was over Lyon 69ers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Polonia Basildon throughout the match.
