After a rather tough play, Balat SK's Batuğ Kutberk got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Balat SK's goal looked a bit too open when Marek Chytrý came free, but Asım Arif Mansız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Namık Kemal Omay during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Balat SK's Namık Kemal Omay got a free kick in the 15th minute. Asım Arif Mansız didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jiří Hadrava went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A sloppy throw-in by Bronislav Toms in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Balat SK's Batuğ Kutberk. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oğuzcan Abide was the one to do the kick off. Asım Arif Mansız was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Jiří Hadrava capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jiří Hadrava really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After taking down the ball on Balat SK's corner Oğuzcan Abide fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jáchym Pospíchal quite easily take care of the ball. Jiří Hadrava's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Asım Arif Mansız read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Bronislav Toms made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Balat SK's Batuğ Kutberk. AC SPARTA's Jáchym Pospíchal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Namık Kemal Omay in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Balat SK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Namık Kemal Omay hit a great ball. Asım Arif Mansız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiří Hadrava in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC SPARTA's goalkeeper Jáchym Pospíchal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Balat SK getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Batuğ Kutberk hit a great ball. AC SPARTA's Jáchym Pospíchal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mutlu Hacısalihoğlu in the 89th minute of play. Jiří Hadrava received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Asım Arif Mansız came out and tried to block the shot, but Jiří Hadrava slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AC SPARTA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
