Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olle Byström started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Melik Aktaşoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Samsunspor SK defense, Olle Byström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nusret Zeynur. The Samsunspor SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nusret Zeynur should have stopped the shot. If Özal Süvarioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Frösön's Sonny Gudmundsson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sonny Gudmundsson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Frösön protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sonny Gudmundsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Samsunspor SK booed when Frösön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Gudmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Frösön's zone, Cevahir Temel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Larsfält came out of the goal and Cevahir Temel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nafiz Yafes in the 23rd minute of play forced Frösön's goalkeeper Christian Larsfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özal Süvarioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Larsfält having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Bengt-Åke Olofsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Frösön's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Hamdi İltekin came free, but Christian Larsfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inge Fogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nusret Zeynur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nusret Zeynur having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nafiz Yafes to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Samsunspor SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Hamdi İltekin to maneuver through the defense. Andréas Tunberg charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andréas Tunberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Frösön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andréas Tunberg to maneuver through the defense. Gilbert Billström's late challenge caught a Samsunspor SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilbert Billström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute Nafiz Yafes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Larsfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frösön's Arman Björkkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute Gilbert Billström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nusret Zeynur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Hamdi İltekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Christian Larsfält made a huge save. If Bengt-Åke Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Mehmet Hamdi İltekin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsunspor SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Hamdi İltekin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frösön's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Özal Süvarioğlu scored to the left of an out of position Christian Larsfält, making the score, 1-1. Bengt-Åke Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Samsunspor SK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
