In the 16th minute, 范平竞 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, 莫鹰乐 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of 庞岚骏. 莫鹰乐 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 陆博超 during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 邱震浩, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 庞岚骏 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 莫鹰乐 in the 32nd minute of play. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by 陆博超 with 于宇正 as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd rose to their feet as 莫鹰乐 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 庞岚骏. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. 杨鸿谦 kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Bolton Wanderers getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. 钱城洋 hit a great ball. The Brondby IF fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Brondby IF's 雷思夕 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 62nd minute 雷思夕 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 邱延林 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 吴风风 during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Brondby IF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. 吴风风 hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Brondby IF's goal looked a bit too open when 于宇正 came free, but 庞岚骏 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Brondby IF's zone, 范平竞 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 庞岚骏 came out of the goal and 范平竞 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bolton Wanderers's 邱延林 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 雷思夕 in the 81st minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Bolton Wanderers's 于宇正 made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 庞岚骏 was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 雷思夕 in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 邱延林 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that 严峰建's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 邱延林 was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The supporters of Bolton Wanderers booed when Brondby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. 庄笑辰 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 庄笑辰 got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bolton Wanderers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brondby IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
