In the 13th minute of the match Azulgrana 81 got a corner. Fetiyerd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dante Palban ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen Robben in the 15th minute of play forced Azulgrana 81's goalkeeper Jiří Hasman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montes Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Azulgrana 81 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Palban to maneuver through the defense. Fetiyerd's Julián Paris suffered a concussion after 20 minutes and had to leave the field. 20 minutes into the game, Geronimo Lertxun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azulgrana 81's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fetiyerd the free kick. Fetiyerd's Emeterio Gene was substituted for Julián Paris. Geronimo Lertxun kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Arjen Robben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fetiyerd were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Azulgrana 81's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arjen Robben took the corner. After taking down the ball on Fetiyerd's corner Arjen Robben fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jiří Hasman quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Rivas got free with Jiří Hasman in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jiří Hasman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Rua in the 30th minute of play. Paul Horring kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Emeterio Gene struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Jiří Hasman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fetiyerd. Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Rauvoe in the 34th minute of play. Montes Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montes Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Rauvoe in the 38th minute of play. Montes Quevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Rauvoe, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Fetiyerd's Aurelio Rivas got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severiano Rua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jiří Hasman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjen Robben in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Rua in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jiří Hasman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Albert Rauvoe came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Azulgrana 81 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Rauvoe couldn't finish the play. Jiří Hasman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Rua in the 56th minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Albert Rauvoe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azulgrana 81 and the Fetiyerd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fetiyerd booed when Azulgrana 81 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Rauvoe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fetiyerd's Severiano Rua in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azulgrana 81's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severiano Rua in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jiří Hasman saved Azulgrana 81 from getting behind. Fetiyerd made a substitution. Cristiano Mezquita replaced Kenneth Heise. Montes Quevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejandro Martinez in the 84th minute. Jiří Hasman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Mezquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Aurelio Rivas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jiří Hasman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Severiano Rua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jiří Hasman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Rua, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
