Franco Armani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Birila in the 13th minute. Basmane Texas's Franco Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Birila in the 14th minute of play. Basmane Texas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 40 minutes into the match, Papillon AC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Joost Sielis came free, but Jean Van Damme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yao Yan Sen in the 42nd minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Benedicto Pacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Papillon AC got a freekick which was hit by Florin Lopatnicu.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gürsel Aksel was the one to do the kick off. The Basmane Texas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Armani should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by 克鲁李 Caan in the 97th minute of play forced Papillon AC's goalkeeper Jean Van Damme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 2-2. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

The corner led to Papillon AC's Emiliano Nardo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jean Van Damme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignatios Ksiromeritis, who was totally free with the ball in the 110th minute. Jean Van Damme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 克鲁李 Caan in the 111th minute of play. Franco Armani made a fantastic save in the 115th minute, when Zosimo Vadillo sent off a good shot on target. Papillon AC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Birila in the 116th minute. Papillon AC's Gustavo Birila was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franco Armani in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 129th minute Yao Yan Sen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Van Damme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Van Damme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yao Yan Sen, who was totally free with the ball in the 129th minute. Neither team seemed willing to take risks during extra-time and the defenses won out. The match would now go to a penalty shoot-out.

The referee gave Papillon AC a penalty, 138 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gustavo Birila, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Basmane Texas's Franco Armani. 3-3. Franco Armani had in the 145thth minute some difficulties stopping Serkan Kocaman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Serkan Kocaman led 145 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Papillon AC's Jean Van Damme became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-5. Franco Armani had in the 147thth minute some difficulties stopping Zosimo Vadillo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
