The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonçalo Catarinense during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gonçalo Catarinense hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Sosnowe Klimaty got a corner. Tiger's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marian Matela ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Marian Matela got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Josef Witlatschil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kryspin Cwynar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Sawicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Sosnowe Klimaty's Katarínus Fiodor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josef Witlatschil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Tiger from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Louis Leißner hit a great ball. Josef Witlatschil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Iglesias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josef Witlatschil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sérgio Monteiro's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes Tiger's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marian Matela who took care of the corner kick. In the 34th minute, Sérgio Monteiro made a precise shot to the right of Josef Witlatschil. Tiger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Pentti Ojala put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kryspin Cwynar. Kryspin Cwynar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pentti Ojala in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iwo Sawicki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Monteiro in the 54th minute of play. If Gaizka Mendieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sosnowe Klimaty's Jacque Kania got a free kick in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Pentti Ojala dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kryspin Cwynar, 1-3. 80 minutes into the match, Tiger's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Monteiro came free, but Josef Witlatschil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josef Witlatschil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Marten Weise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Cwynar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Jacque Kania hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sérgio Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Tiger were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Sosnowe Klimaty's much stronger midfield.
