Spectators: 557 (Terracing: 419, Seating: 128, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Garth Brough started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fan Xi Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Garth Brough sped through Squadra de Pippe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fan Xi Hong. Fan Xi Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 11th minute of play. When Gaspar Olando fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Australian Youth Academy's protests and gave Gaspar Olando a yellow card for diving instead. Gaspar Olando hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 18th match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Olando to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fan Xi Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Squadra de Pippe made a substitution. Boruc Gongolewicz replaced Stanislovas Skripkauskas. After having played for 31 minutes, Ellis Hoskin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ellis Hoskin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Squadra de Pippe booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Butterfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keylor Navas made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Cristoforo Volpe sent off a good shot on target. When Cristoforo Volpe came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Squadra de Pippe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristoforo Volpe couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Cristoforo Volpe made the kick off in the second half. Cristoforo Volpe hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Fan Xi Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garth Brough in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Witold Bury got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Witold Bury. Australian Youth Academy's Dante Baba was substituted for Rufus Roach. Squadra de Pippe's Fabio Bosco was substituted for Nedim Üster. After 67 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Andreoli. After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Boruc Gongolewicz got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute Boruc Gongolewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes Australian Youth Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Boruc Gongolewicz who took care of the corner kick. Pastor Ellow made a great header on Squadra de Pippe's corner, it was just that Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas managed to reach the ball for a save. After 84 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Dante Baba. In the 92nd minute, Boruc Gongolewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukasz Rukszcz in the 95th minute of play.

When the final whistle went the supporters of Australian Youth Academy were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Squadra de Pippe side.
