With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danas Nausėda in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludomil Kajdasz saved Herblay from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Herblay's goalkeeper Ludomil Kajdasz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jérémie Watremez. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jérémie Watremez in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludomil Kajdasz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, FC Karamba's goal looked a bit too open when Léon Monnet came free, but Enrique Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, FC Karamba's Albinas Matūzas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludomil Kajdasz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jérémie Watremez got free with Ludomil Kajdasz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Jérémie Watremez came free, but Ludomil Kajdasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Cadart in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
