In the 37th minute Damaso Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yahia van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Skirzynski in the 39th minute of the match. After 47 minutes FC KLUCZBORK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iraklis Karasavvidis who took care of the corner kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zenon Skirzynski to make the kick off.
