Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romão Mourato in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Romão Mourato came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Roneros F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romão Mourato couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Alegría, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dario Alegría came free, but Ricardo Ceberiche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doriva Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jiang Sha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Marcos Buffon made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th play minute Romão Mourato came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Buffon. 0-2. Romão Mourato might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romão Mourato ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romão Mourato. The supporters of Roneros F.C. booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Patrick Viera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AVAÍ F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Romão Mourato scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Buffon, making the score, 0-5. Ricardo Ceberiche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roneros F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
