Cusco FC's Elorri Uruñuela got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute Diogo Calado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Schönberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kajetan Wolniewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Johan Schönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Calado in the 21st minute of the match. Johan Schönberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Freire in the 23rd minute. In the 24th match minute, Cusco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Zambrano to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Johan Schönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kajetan Wolniewicz in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes Cusco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mário Corrêa who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Mathias Freire heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cresitobalo Rilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Berger having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Abreu in the 67th minute of play forced Cusco FC's goalkeeper Johan Schönberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
