Los Gaticidas's Claudio Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 6th minute of play. Belchior Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tití Fernandes Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jan-Olof Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Claudio Umbruso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. Los Gaticidas's Claudio Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 21st minute of play. Jan-Olof Eliasson scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Umbruso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. La Gallardeta were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Los Gaticidas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alessio Scandella took the corner. Lu Zhi Qi came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Belchior Saldanha could save by the left post. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when Los Gaticidas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Aguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belchior Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tití Fernandes Braga in the 39th minute of play. Los Gaticidas's Tití Fernandes Braga managed to work through La Gallardeta's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tití Fernandes Braga dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi was substituted for Clemente Anaya. After the first half La Gallardeta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Olof Eliasson to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Fulgencio Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Umbruso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute Lu Zhi Qi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belchior Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belchior Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Zhi Qi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belchior Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogumil Wysocki in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute Lu Zhi Qi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belchior Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fulgencio Gartzi came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Gartzi couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Los Gaticidas's Claudio Umbruso got control of the ball when Wilfred Vrede tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Umbruso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudio Umbruso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Gartzi went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute, Fulgencio Gartzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Umbruso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Gartzi in the 90th minute of play forced Los Gaticidas's goalkeeper Claudio Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Los Gaticidas getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Felipe Sesuldo hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Uriel Silbestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belchior Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The Los Gaticidas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching La Gallardeta's performance. The match ended with a win for La Gallardeta.
