Nildo Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Quintyn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nildo Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florencio Ferran during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Florencio Ferran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Florencio Ferran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fırat Aytekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Fabio Quintyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiburcio Marques who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Fabio Quintyn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Chinto came free, but Fırat Aytekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiburcio Marques in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Quintyn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Húsares's Fabio Quintyn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Húsares from getting a goal against them. Tomás Chinto hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Nildo Rosa sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Fabio Quintyn threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Nildo Rosa this time.

Fabio Quintyn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 61st minute, Florencio Ferran made a precise shot to the right of Fırat Aytekin. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fabio Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Tiburcio Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Húsares's Carlos Miliano was substituted for Josué Vargas. Tiburcio Marques scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Quintyn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabio Quintyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Töpper in the 87th minute of the match.
