The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Marcel da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Chuan Xuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Devils were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Clube Esportivo Saudade's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sotos Zervoulakos took the corner. Sotos Zervoulakos made a great header on Red Devils's corner, it was just that Clube Esportivo Saudade's Wei Chuan Xuan managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Marcel da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wei Chuan Xuan was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Marcel da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 24th minute of the match Timoteo Gibert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Timoteo Gibert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Red Devils booed when Clube Esportivo Saudade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Gibert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalkeeper Wei Chuan Xuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcel da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wei Chuan Xuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute Clube Esportivo Saudade were awarded a corner. Rafa Morado went to the cornerflag to take it. Rafa Morado made a great header on Clube Esportivo Saudade's corner, it was just that Red Devils's Braulio Gartxot managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 45thth minute of the game Virgilio Ladra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Devils's Braulio Gartxot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47 minutes, Lucas Villanueva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube Esportivo Saudade and the Red Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Wei Chuan Xuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel da Rocha's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wei Chuan Xuan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafa Morado hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel da Rocha in the 64th minute of play forced Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalkeeper Wei Chuan Xuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 85th match minute, Clube Esportivo Saudade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Villanueva to maneuver through the defense. Wei Chuan Xuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Bilbo Zafrilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Braulio Gartxot made a huge save. Kazimierz Deyna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wei Chuan Xuan. Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 97 minutes Clube Esportivo Saudade's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sotos Zervoulakos who took care of the corner kick. Red Devils's Sotos Zervoulakos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wei Chuan Xuan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The score was 1-1 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Clube Esportivo Saudade's Virgilio Ladra started the play with his kick off. 105 minutes into the game, Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wei Chuan Xuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Red Devils were victorious despite being under pressure from Clube Esportivo Saudade for much of the match.
