Huub Gerrits blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andon Túrpomanov having to make a save. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iskren Drazhev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Pavel Kenov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder. Mike Zoetmulder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Kenov in the 10th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kenov came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Mario Kisev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iskren Drazhev scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Zoetmulder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Huub Gerrits made a precise shot to the right of Andon Túrpomanov. Temida Sf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iskren Drazhev in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kenov came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Mathias de Ruijter made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Temida Sf's Andon Túrpomanov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

In the 58th minute, Faiz Dhanabalan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Temida Sf's Traycho Stamboldzhiev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mike Zoetmulder. Mike Zoetmulder yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After 65 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andon Túrpomanov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mike Zoetmulder had great luck who in the 70thth minute grab hold of the ball when Pavel Kenov from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 72nd minute, Huub Gerrits made a precise shot to the right of Andon Túrpomanov. Temida Sf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Temida Sf's Dinko Ormandzhiev was substituted for Traycho Stamboldzhiev. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Kenov in the 76th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Temida Sf got a freekick which was hit by Milyo Achov. In the 84th match minute, Temida Sf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Kisev to maneuver through the defense. Mike Zoetmulder was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Pavel Kenov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pavel Kenov really showed his touch with that goal: 4-4. Mike Zoetmulder made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Dinko Ormandzhiev sent off a good shot on target. Mike Zoetmulder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinko Ormandzhiev in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Dinko Ormandzhiev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Zoetmulder was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-5.
