In the 20th minute of the match Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a corner. Vorwärts Lübeck's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stasio Bienienda ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 29th match minute, Vorwärts Lübeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hansjörg Pothmer to maneuver through the defense. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ivan Chiuzbaian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Casero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39thth minute of the game Zhao Sen Yang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abubakar Noach made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Zhao Sen Yang sent off a good shot on target. Zhao Sen Yang had several of the Vorwärts Lübeck's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Abubakar Noach as he didn't even see the shot coming. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Casero was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cecilio Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Iftode in the 53rd minute of play. Abubakar Noach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Grau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Zhao Sen Yang sped through Vorwärts Lübeck's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abubakar Noach. In the 93rd minute Cecilio Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Zhao Sen Yang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
