An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Montez in the 12th minute of play forced Victoria Toruń's goalkeeper Borys Poreda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Russówek's Ryszard Skonieczny in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Russówek's Daniel Kieca got control of the ball when Naci Kac tried to sneak it across the goal line. Russówek's Daniel Kieca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Russówek from getting a goal against them. Borys Poreda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Poreda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kennet Hedlund in the 33rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryszard Skonieczny to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Gregorio Montez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Borys Poreda was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Kennet Hedlund got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Zbigniew Zabrzeski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Poreda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russówek's Daniel Kieca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Lukowski in the 67th minute of play. Borys Poreda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zbigniew Zabrzeski in the 68th minute. A collision led to Victoria Toruń getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Giedrius Domeika hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Jakub Gdowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Poreda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borys Poreda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zbigniew Zabrzeski in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naci Kac in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Kieca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the game, Victoria Toruń's Naci Kac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Kieca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Borys Poreda made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Jakub Gdowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute Naci Kac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Kieca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Lukowski in the 94th minute of play forced Russówek's goalkeeper Daniel Kieca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Jakub Gdowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Poreda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 1-1. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was Victoria Toruń's Naci Kac that got to make the kick off. Giedrius Domeika made in the 101st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Burt Burachek. Naci Kac could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 113th minute of the match, but Daniel Kieca made a huge save.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Zbigniew Zabrzeski did a quick kick off. Borys Poreda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Zabrzeski in the 117th minute of play. Daniel Kieca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naci Kac in the 120th minute of play. Daniel Kieca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naci Kac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertino Lemos during the 124th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Victoria Toruń manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Russówek to win.
