In the 5th match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Romero to maneuver through the defense. Aquiles Gana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Corneliu Dridu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When AC Morena's Aquiles Gana in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dr Lecter SC's goalie prevented a goal. Cosme Pere was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aquiles Gana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Dražen Ladić came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu. But to his dismay, Corneliu Dridu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 29th minute of play forced AC Morena's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme Pere made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Aquiles Gana sent off a good shot on target. Aquiles Gana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Cosme Pere made a huge save. When AC Morena's Aquiles Gana in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dr Lecter SC's goalie prevented a goal. Corneliu Dridu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dražen Ladić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Corneliu Dridu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dražen Ladić was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of AC Morena booed when Dr Lecter SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Fonseca in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Corneliu Dridu made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Alex Cellucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AC Morena's Dražen Ladić got control of the ball when Corneliu Dridu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Gana, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Mikolaj Felenak hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Aquiles Gana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 62 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Gana came free, but Cosme Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Gana might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Pere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquiles Gana ran back to his position shaking his head. Cosme Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Gana in the 66th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquiles Gana in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Pere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, AC Morena's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneliu Dridu. In the 79th minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. AC Morena's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Romero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice moves Mauro Romero could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Dražen Ladić however easily saved by the left post. Cosme Pere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoforo Labate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Fonseca came free, but Cosme Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dr Lecter SC's Augustin Ţopescu was substituted for Dieguinho de Medeiros. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez was substituted for Mauro Romero. Dr Lecter SC's Efe Tamer was substituted for Válbson Batista.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dr Lecter SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
