Elano Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albertinho de Amaral went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Xurupita FC's Gustavo Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Xurupita FC from getting a goal against them. After the first half Xurupita FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Xurupita FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
