The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 詹俊 á Bø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joseph Apelkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Wellington Phoenix's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tadeu Zonta in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, 詹俊 á Bø had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Apelkvist. FC REAL SEDLEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 詹俊 á Bø was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joseph Apelkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 詹俊 á Bø in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes FC REAL SEDLEC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tadeu Zonta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Wellington Phoenix's Tadeu Zonta to fire away a dangerous shot which Joseph Apelkvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wellington Phoenix's Luiz Paulo Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 郭烨林 in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute 郭烨林 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 郭烨林 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Mazza having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, FC REAL SEDLEC's goal looked a bit too open when 詹俊 á Bø came free, but Joseph Apelkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Wellington Phoenix's 詹俊 á Bø made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Apelkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute, 詹俊 á Bø got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC REAL SEDLEC's zone, 詹俊 á Bø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Apelkvist came out of the goal and 詹俊 á Bø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tadeu Zonta struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Joseph Apelkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington Phoenix. FC REAL SEDLEC's Joseph Apelkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Zonta in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC REAL SEDLEC's Stanislav Soural got a free kick in the 41st minute. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 郭烨林, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Joseph Apelkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 詹俊 á Bø went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 詹俊 á Bø to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Ondřej Koplík managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC REAL SEDLEC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ondřej Koplík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joseph Apelkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 詹俊 á Bø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Wellington Phoenix were awarded a corner. Tadeu Zonta went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Zé Carlos Dias heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 詹俊 á Bø struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Joseph Apelkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington Phoenix. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ondřej Koplík in the 63rd minute of the match. Wellington Phoenix made a substitution. Sandro Trigo replaced Luiz Fernando Tróia. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 郭烨林, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Joseph Apelkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 詹俊 á Bø in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 77th minute of play forced FC REAL SEDLEC's goalkeeper Joseph Apelkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC REAL SEDLEC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tadeu Zonta was slow to take the kick. During this time Wellington Phoenix's players had a chance to rest. Wellington Phoenix's Tadeu Zonta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joseph Apelkvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Slavoj Šeliga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Mazza having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC REAL SEDLEC defense, 詹俊 á Bø kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseph Apelkvist. The FC REAL SEDLEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseph Apelkvist should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute 詹俊 á Bø suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Dinko Payakov's late challenge caught a Wellington Phoenix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinko Payakov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, FC REAL SEDLEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinko Payakov to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute of the match Tadeu Zonta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joseph Apelkvist skillfully saved the ball. The Wellington Phoenix supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wellington Phoenix would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
