To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, 肖星适 put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Loren Couet. 冯强剑 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loren Couet having to interfere. 龙翀光 lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Rapid Wien's 程康浩 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacharité in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that 肖星适's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loren Couet was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 肖星适 in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loren Couet saved Endako from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 肖星适 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, 肖星适 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Wien's supporters crossed their fingers, but 肖星适 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by 肖星适 in the 65th minute of play forced Endako's goalkeeper Loren Couet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, 肖星适 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. In the 76thth minute of the game 肖星适 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Endako's Loren Couet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrick Massey's late challenge caught a Rapid Wien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Massey helped the player get up and apologised. 78 minutes into the game, one of Endako:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 冯强剑 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as 肖星适 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Loren Couet. That made the score 1-8 in the 84 minute of play. 程康浩 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacharité in the 88th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Rapid Wien's Loren Couet threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 肖星适, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Rapid Wien booed when Endako was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Lacharité didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rapid Wien's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
