With an all-out effort, Floresta Negra FC's Leonardo Da Vinci threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andy Cole, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Egun Pais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abelardo Bezerra went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jeffrey Van Caels hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Moura. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Egun Pais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Pulisic in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match G.E. Juventus FSCMZ got a corner.
