After 19 minutes of play, SC Agualva's Nivaldo Lameiras made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beamard Caffrey was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 played minutes Cappagowlan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tierney Martyn. António Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torran Doherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cappagowlan AFC's Hayes McNamara managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bruno Carneiro in the 34 minute of the game. After having played for 35 minutes, Hayes McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cappagowlan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayes McNamara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torran Doherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. António Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cappagowlan AFC's zone, Octávio Gago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beamard Caffrey came out of the goal and Octávio Gago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Shamus McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cappagowlan AFC's protests and gave Shamus McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. Shamus McBrandon kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match.
