Jegues FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henry Van der Meiren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jegues FC's Arlindo Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cederik Engelborghs in the 19th minute of play. If Vitório Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cederik Engelborghs to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Luiz Fábio Mendonça in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Beir's Pierre-Olivier Anthonis. Arlindo Monteiro was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Cederik Engelborghs capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cederik Engelborghs really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Louis-Philippe Mattheijs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Leal in the 58th minute of play. Louis-Philippe Mattheijs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 65 in the game by Cederik Engelborghs from a close distance when the talented Arlindo Monteiro managed to make a qualified save. Jegues FC's players were relieved. Thiago Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Louis-Philippe Mattheijs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Van der Meiren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cederik Engelborghs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Arlindo Monteiro made a huge save. With his leg Arlindo Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when FC Beir's Cederik Engelborghs fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arlindo Monteiro came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Beir's Cederik Engelborghs. But to his dismay, Cederik Engelborghs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. With a little luck, Jegues FC's Arlindo Monteiro got control of the ball when Cederik Engelborghs tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Beir eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
