Gökalp Hizanlı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atak Kurhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Atak Kurhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökalp Hizanlı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhittin Enfa in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Karsiyaka FK's zone, Rasim Rafetoğulları stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökalp Hizanlı came out of the goal and Rasim Rafetoğulları tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karsiyaka FK's Gökalp Hizanlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fevzi Taylan in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Fevzi Taylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökalp Hizanlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Atak Kurhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gökalp Hizanlı was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 20th minute Fevzi Taylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökalp Hizanlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Tavşanlı FK's goalkeeper Lemi Ekiner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kandemir Özerk. Atak Kurhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gökalp Hizanlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Karsiyaka FK's Emirhan Nasrullah got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Atak Kurhan sped through Karsiyaka FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gökalp Hizanlı. Gökalp Hizanlı was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gökalp Hizanlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atak Kurhan in the 99th minute of play. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Karsiyaka FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Muhittin Enfa was slow to take the kick. During this time Tavşanlı FK's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Tavşanlı FK's corner Muhittin Enfa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gökalp Hizanlı quite easily take care of the ball.
