In the 15thth minute of the game Fidel Martxelin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KANONIERZY's Stasio Gozdowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flóki Cabezudo in the 16th minute of play forced KANONIERZY's goalkeeper Stasio Gozdowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacy Dunajski made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 18thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Pedro Pelayo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Ignacy Dunajskis short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Pedro Pelayo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 19 minutes into the match, KANONIERZY's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Martxelin came free, but Stasio Gozdowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46thth minute KANONIERZY's Ivo Chaves made a couple of brazen moves and fired away a shot to the left hand side of Stellenbosch's goalie, Pedro Pelayo, understanding what was about to happen, managed to get hold of the ball just before it went behind the net. A nice save by Pedro Pelayo. KANONIERZY's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ivo Chaves in the 47th minute. Richie Ray kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ignacy Dunajski managed to get in a good position for a shot. When KANONIERZY's Zbyszek Ferfecki in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
