In the 11th minute, Qi Xun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lonnie Hurley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Slavko Mojsovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Hurley having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lonnie Hurley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lucien Goff hit a great ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dustin Burton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qi Xun was the one to do the kick off. Xeneizes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihai Şelaru in the 55th minute. Qi Xun made a great header on Xeneizes's corner, it was just that Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 85th match minute, Key Biscayne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korey Reed to maneuver through the defense.
