Atıf Mertoğul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Atıf Mertoğul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Landin in the 12th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Xavier's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Eduardo Xavier hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Landin came free, but Atıf Mertoğul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atıf Mertoğul was a little too slow when Torgny Landin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Atıf Mertoğul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torgny Landin went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goalkeeper Atıf Mertoğul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torgny Landin. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Özkan Kayaer in the 35th minute. Ariel Bonachea hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The Boca Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jan Höijer struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Atıf Mertoğul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. Jens-Åke Källberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Xavier in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Atıf Mertoğul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torgny Landin's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Landin came free, but Atıf Mertoğul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind 1947 FC's goalkeeper Atıf Mertoğul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the 1947 FC defense, Torgny Landin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atıf Mertoğul. The 1947 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atıf Mertoğul should have stopped the shot. 1947 FC's Melchor Xacintu was substituted for Jordan Poole. 1947 FC made a substitution. In the 71st minute, Torgny Landin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Atıf Mertoğul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Beturian, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Gerd Della had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute of the match, Huang Bing Ran tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atıf Mertoğul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Della in the 82nd minute of play. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by 1947 FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Per-Åke Lundberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. Vilhelm Holm was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Beturian in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atıf Mertoğul saved 1947 FC from getting behind. When Boca Juniors's Julian Beturian in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1947 FC's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Julian Beturian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atıf Mertoğul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Boca Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
