In the 22ndth minute of the game Torgny Landin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ORANGE FC's Marcial Mendebal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Torgny Landin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torgny Landin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ORANGE FC's zone, Torgny Landin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Mendebal came out of the goal and Torgny Landin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcial Mendebal. Marcial Mendebal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcial Mendebal. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 42nd minute, Boca Juniors's Rickard Löfgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. ORANGE FC's Marcial Mendebal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save ORANGE FC from getting a goal against them. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Özkan Kayaer in the 50th minute. The corner led Boca Juniors's Özkan Kayaer to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcial Mendebal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. A throw-in in the 56th minute of the game was made by Luis Karlo with Generoso Reynardo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Torgny Landin scored 5-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Mendebal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Torgny Landin sped through ORANGE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcial Mendebal. In the 69th minute, Torgny Landin made a precise shot to the right of Marcial Mendebal. ORANGE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Boca Juniors's Julian Beturian was substituted for Jan Höijer. In the 74th minute Torgny Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Mendebal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ORANGE FC defense, Julian Beturian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Mendebal. The ORANGE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Mendebal should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Gerd Della's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Mendebal was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game.
