In the 17th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Edorta to maneuver through the defense. When Golden Generation's Huang Rong in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Roriz in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Golden Generation's Huang Rong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignatius Casasola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huang Rong in the 39th minute of play. Huang Rong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huang Rong in the 42nd minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Huang Rong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Golden Generation made a substitution. Barnaba Ciborek replaced Alex Enoaia. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elivélton Cunha made a kick off. Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Roriz in the 53rd minute of play. Ignatius Casasola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elivélton Cunha in the 54th minute. A collision led to Golden Generation getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jaime Arnau hit a great ball. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Dimas in the 62nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torcato Rebocho in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Turgay Şeren saved Golden Generation from getting behind. Garanhão do SUL's Obafemi Fabiani was substituted for André Roriz. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Albano Leizarraga replaced Edgar Costa. Garanhão do SUL's Akis Kefallinos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Turgay Şeren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Turgay Şeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Leizarraga in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola got control of the ball when Barnaba Ciborek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Obafemi Fabiani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elivélton Cunha had several of the Garanhão do SUL's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Ignatius Casasola as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 92 minutes Garanhão do SUL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulises Dimas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Golden Generation's Ulises Dimas to fire away a dangerous shot which Ignatius Casasola despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 95th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Rios to maneuver through the defense. Elivélton Cunhas short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Ignatius Casasola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Garanhão do SUL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Golden Generation were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
