Abelardo Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingvar Nykvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Petros Mirtsos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Da Vinci was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After 16 minutes of play, G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's Abelardo Bezerra made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ingvar Nykvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Santiago Silva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonardo Da Vinci came out and tried to block the shot, but Santiago Silva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordario De la Torre in the 44th minute of play.
