Niculae Romanescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geovanni Leme showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. With his leg Niculae Romanescu managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Colognese FC's Edgard Batista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edgard Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Niculae Romanescu made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Geovanni Leme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niculae Romanescu. That made the score 3-2 in the 43 minute of play.
