The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio Artaldo during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes, La Scaloneta's Enrique Rozarius shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Scaloneta reached it. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Izel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Chwalkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes in the game, Gilberto Izel dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Franco Moscatelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Goicoechea in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Moscatelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pankracy Glogowski was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Gilberto Izel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilberto Izel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's Enrique Rozarius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enrique Rozarius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 44 in the game by Gilberto Izel from a close distance when the talented Pankracy Glogowski managed to make a qualified save. Club Atlético Atlanta's players were relieved. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Goicoechea to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 51st minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Franco Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Izel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gilberto Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Enrique Rozarius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Atlético Atlanta may have spent more time on the ball, but La Scaloneta were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
