La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aybek Orcun in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Izel. Gilberto Izel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Carlos Alvarez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Gilberto Izel sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Cachorro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Gilberto Izel's late challenge caught a Marlin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Izel helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Izel hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aybek Orcun in the 20th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Franco Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orbay Kiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Ismael Iglesias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Moscatelli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gilberto Izel might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Carlos Alvarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Izel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute, Orbay Kiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Moscatelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aybek Orcun in the 30th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Aybek Orcun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franco Moscatelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Aybek Orcun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Moscatelli was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Rozarius to maneuver through the defense. Polat Aranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Rozarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Linus Fredriksson was the one to do the kick off. Concetto Guerra hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Gilberto Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Rozarius in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Fernando Ciano hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Enrique Rozarius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orbay Kiner in the 75th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Orbay Kiner notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez. Juan Carlos Alvarez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Rozarius came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Iglesias hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, La Scaloneta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dionisio Panpili fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Linus Fredriksson got free with Franco Moscatelli in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marlin FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
