In the 8th match minute, ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Nietlispach to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute of the match Takeshi Bieberstein shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kasım Okanalp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roberto Carlos made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Toralf Hell immediately put the ball in play. 14 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Dong Cheng Si came free, but Jacek Matuch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes, Herbert Pazura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ and the SV Bad Harzburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bill Nietlispach was slow to take the kick. During this time ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Bill Nietlispach almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch did a great save.
