Robinho Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Bilintx's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Óscar Cordoba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Kvammen's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Giovani Dracena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Óscar Cordoba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Daniel Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Linares in the 19th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Linares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Sporting de Gijón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Linares came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aílton de Lima in the 23rd minute. Ruan Dal Bello was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 30 minutes, Benjamin Kvammen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DJVAGALUMY FC. and the Sporting de Gijón players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, DJVAGALUMY FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Kvammen to maneuver through the defense. Matias Bilintxs short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Robinho Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A well done corner resulted in Venancio Emesto drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goalkeeper. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruan Dal Bello in the 38th minute of the match. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruan Dal Bello, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Linares in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruan Dal Bello in the 46th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Bilintx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Robinho Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruan Dal Bello to make the kick off. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Linares in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Rune Fanström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Emesto came free, but Robinho Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Robinho Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bilintx in the 61st minute of play. Wayne Rooney scored 2-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robinho Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. DJVAGALUMY FC. made a substitution. Thiago Vidal replaced Daniel Linares. Robinho Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Bilintx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Óscar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Benjamin Kvammen sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute Benjamin Kvammen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robinho Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 73rd minute of the match. When Diego Maradona came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Maradona couldn't finish the play. In the 79thth minute of the game Diego Maradona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Robinho Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wayne Rooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sporting de Gijón's Mario Zanabria was substituted for Venancio Emesto. Óscar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ruan Dal Bello sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Bilintx in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robinho Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robinho Amorim came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
