The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match Atlético Ourense got a corner. Gremio Viana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrico Carmona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Enrico Carmona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza did a great save. If Jiang De had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jerrold Valcarcel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiang De in the 8th minute of play. Unai Calatayud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute of the match, Tartalo Rajoi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Samuel Fiúza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jerrold Valcarcel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang De in the 32nd minute of the match. Atlético Ourense's Jerrold Valcarcel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang De in the 39th minute of play. When Jiang De came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Gremio Viana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jiang De couldn't finish the play. Gremio Viana's attentive Amado Melo managed to snatch the ball when Euloxu Bermudez made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. Euloxu Bermudez got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Indartsu Sarro. Higino Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Atlético Ourense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gremio Viana were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tartalo Rajoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jiang De got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, Gremio Viana's Augustin Panaiteanu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jerrold Valcarcel. In the 63rd minute of the game Euloxu Bermudez made a throw-in which Rogelio Verdaguer played forward. Atlético Ourense's Seve Dobale was substituted for Unai Calatayud. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Atlético Ourense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Euloxu Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Ourense's Euloxu Bermudez got a free kick in the 69th minute. Mariusz Lamczyk hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gremio Viana made a substitution. The corner ended in Antonio Calisto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Ourense's Jerrold Valcarcel did a great save. In the 94th minute, Augustin Panaiteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seve Dobale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gremio Viana getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Antonio Calisto hit a great ball. Gremio Viana's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
