An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennert Van der Vloedt in the 8th minute of play forced IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Kurt Ekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbin van Persie in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Ekberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cam Bahč took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Vandenberge. Tony Vandenberge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Kurt Ekberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robbin van Persie scored 2-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Ekberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of RWDM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of IFK Gladdarna:s goal. RWDM:s Tony Vandenberge showed great skill when he stopped Frans Koopmans:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, Frans Koopmans did a trick in the 22nd minute in front of RWDM's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-1. An impressive performance by IFK Gladdarna's Frans Koopmans! Ritchie Kerkhofs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kurt Ekberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute of the match, Emil Trulsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tony Vandenberge saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kurt Ekberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robbin van Persie's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robbin van Persie in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Ekberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37thth minute of the game Robbin van Persie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Gladdarna's Kurt Ekberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikael Valström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Ekberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Robbin van Persie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Gladdarna's Kurt Ekberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, RWDM's Robbin van Persie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kurt Ekberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3.

The wind increased when Robbin van Persie made the kick off in the second half. Tony Vandenberge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Koopmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Eugeniusz Cichewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Trulsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kurt Ekberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Valström in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Trulsson in the 64th minute of play forced RWDM's goalkeeper Tony Vandenberge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, RWDM's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Trulsson came free, but Tony Vandenberge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Vandenberge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Trulsson in the 79th minute of the match. RWDM's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lennert Van der Vloedt in the 83rd minute. In the 83rd minute, RWDM's Dylan Van Meenen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. IFK Gladdarna made a substitution. Martin Sundin replaced Emil Trulsson. Tony Vandenberge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Sundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Vandenberge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Sundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The audience was convinced that Martin Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Vandenberge was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
