The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goal looked a bit too open when Jāzeps Pics came free, but Bøje Dyssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Ree in the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Indris Tomass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bøje Dyssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Aigars Builis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Ree in the 19th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Ree in the 24th minute of the match. Jānis Lielais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Ree went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Axel Ree had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monks in Robes's Nestor Solera quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aigars Builis, made in the 38th minute of the game. Axel Ree recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albinus Alking in the 43rd minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Aigars Builis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Annenieki and the Monks in Robes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Aigars Builis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jānis Lielais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Ree, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albinus Alking sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Monks in Robes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Ree to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jāzeps Pics in the 53rd minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Bøje Dyssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Normunds Vēbers. Axel Ree blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jānis Lielais having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Ree in the 58th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, Axel Ree made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Although SK Annenieki had been in control for most of the match, Monks in Robes still came away with the win.
