In the 2nd match minute, Fauna Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieterjan Anteunis to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Esquipula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Rene Higuita made a huge save. The supporters of Valencia CF Mindszent booed when Fauna Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Esquipula didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gábor Joó scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radamel Hendrickx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pieterjan Anteunis got free with Rene Higuita in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Fauna Utd's Pieterjan Anteunis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 27th minute, Gábor Joó ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radamel Hendrickx was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 32nd minute, Karel Cromefeldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fauna Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 34th match minute, Valencia CF Mindszent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christos Xenidis to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Yuri Portugal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia CF Mindszent from getting a goal against them. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karel Cromefeldt in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fauna Utd's Lorenzo Garaona was substituted for Teodoro Esquipula. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gábor Joó to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx got control of the ball when Gábor Joó tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Radamel Hendrickx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elek Bognár in the 64th minute of play forced Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Radamel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saltuk Peykan charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saltuk Peykan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Silvestre Pacorro replaced Christos Xenidis. A collision led to Valencia CF Mindszent getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Saltuk Peykan hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when 苏军扬 came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Yuri Portugal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Higuita was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Radamel Hendrickx came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia CF Mindszent's Konstantin Fitos. But to his dismay, Konstantin Fitos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 81 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Karel Cromefeldt came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fauna Utd's Yuri Portugal got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Portugal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Higuita having to interfere. After some careless play in the Fauna Utd defense, Konstantin Fitos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radamel Hendrickx. The Fauna Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radamel Hendrickx should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Elek Bognár got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valencia CF Mindszent were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Fauna Utd's much stronger midfield.
