The ORION F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some careless play in the ORION F.C. defense, Shi Yuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dadhyan Rudrappa. The ORION F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dadhyan Rudrappa should have stopped the shot. Pedro Villalaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Sverker Fanström made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, Sanderlend's Babbis Aggeliadis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dadhyan Rudrappa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dadhyan Rudrappa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Babbis Aggeliadis's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The Sanderlend fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Sanderlend's Babbis Aggeliadis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With 18 minutes on the clock, Brahim Ben Khalidi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 19 played minutes Sanderlend got a freekick which was hit by Brahim Ben Khalidi. Sverker Fanström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Villalaz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 22 minute of play. After 26 played minutes ORION F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dé Santos. Dadhyan Rudrappa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babbis Aggeliadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dadhyan Rudrappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babbis Aggeliadis in the 34th minute of play. Pedro Villalaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sverker Fanström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Pedro Villalaz took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Sverker Fanström to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute Mikail Savgat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, ORION F.C.'s Dé Santos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Babbis Aggeliadis to strike the kick off in the second half. Sanderlend's Vejko Mirković quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Quirós, made in the 51st minute of the game. In the 53rd minute Pedro Villalaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Villalaz in the 55th minute of play forced Sanderlend's goalkeeper Sverker Fanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikail Savgat in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sverker Fanström saved Sanderlend from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Babbis Aggeliadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadhyan Rudrappa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute Pedro Villalaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Sanderlend's Gwidon Zbydniewski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dadhyan Rudrappa. Dadhyan Rudrappa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-3. In the 82nd minute Pedro Villalaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Sanderlend's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Santos came free, but Sverker Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dadhyan Rudrappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Zbydniewski in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Sanderlend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vejko Mirković to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the game, Mikail Savgat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ORION F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sanderlend the free kick. A collision led to ORION F.C. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Mikail Savgat hit a great ball. The throw-in from Luis Quirós in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sanderlend's Vejko Mirković. Sverker Fanström had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedro Villalaz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Pedro Villalaz scored 5-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sverker Fanström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute of the match Dé Santos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sverker Fanström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
