In the 5thth minute of the game Fortunato Miner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UE Sant Julià's Johnnie Dobson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, UE Sant Julià's goalkeeper Johnnie Dobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeca Gadda. In the 11th minute, Fortunato Miner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico de la Rosa CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 22nd minute of the match, Zeca Gadda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Johnnie Dobson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With an all-out effort, Atletico de la Rosa CF's Johnnie Dobson threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fortunato Miner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 25 minutes into the game, Perry Swanson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcell Yashin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fortunato Miner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Johnnie Dobson made a huge save. UE Sant Julià's Johnnie Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Gadda in the 30th minute of play. Marcell Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Swanson in the 32nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Perry Swanson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marcell Yashin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Johnnie Dobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anacleto Adán in the 37th minute of the match. Johnnie Dobson made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Fortunato Miner sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Atletico de la Rosa CF booed when UE Sant Julià was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martyn Smart didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, UE Sant Julià was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Smart to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 50th minute, Pim Fortuin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 51 played minutes, UE Sant Julià's David López shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcell Yashin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UE Sant Julià reached it. Johnnie Dobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Gadda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ximun Camudio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, David López sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Atletico de la Rosa CF's Marcell Yashin didn't even have to move. Bryan Hornsby struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Marcell Yashin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UE Sant Julià. UE Sant Julià's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David López in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Atletico de la Rosa CF's Segundo Balaunde got a free kick in the 82nd minute. A collision led to UE Sant Julià getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Pierre Bull hit a great ball. The UE Sant Julià players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
