With an all-out effort, Capibaribe Stars's Luka Jaćimović threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Sousa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 11 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luka Jaćimović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Sousa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. Luka Jaćimović made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Nike 武磊 sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luka Jaćimović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luka Jaćimović having to make a save. Luka Jaćimović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Daniel Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the match, El Pibe Academy's goalkeeper Luka Jaćimović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Sousa. Daniel Sousa scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luka Jaćimović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luka Jaćimović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Bogić Tabaković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luka Jaćimović came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Capibaribe Stars's Nike 武磊. But to his dismay, Nike 武磊 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Puniša Mamić in the 46th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, El Pibe Academy's Cesare Lazzaro got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match, Nike 武磊 got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luka Jaćimović was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The wind increased when Daniel Sousa made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Daniel Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luka Jaćimović was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Pibe Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Atalay Turkay was slow to take the kick. During this time Capibaribe Stars's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogić Tabaković in the 57th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, El Pibe Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Sousa came free, but Luka Jaćimović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maksim Lazarevskis short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Thomás Toscano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The El Pibe Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luka Jaćimović should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Flóki Factor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luka Jaćimović was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Luka Jaćimović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flóki Factor, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Capibaribe Stars were awarded a corner. Atalay Turkay went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Atalay Turkay got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luka Jaćimović quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 88 minutes into the match, Flóki Factor notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of El Pibe Academy's Luka Jaćimović. Luka Jaćimović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 93 played minutes El Pibe Academy got a freekick which was hit by Radisav Mikić. Nike 武磊 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luka Jaćimović having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Capibaribe Stars fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Pibe Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
