Romulo Loiola made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ORIZABA F.C.'s Julian Kosakowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Idacio Ballejos in the 20th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oliver Kan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaroslaw Maurycy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Marcus Deacon made a huge save. Oliver Kan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Robins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ORIZABA F.C.'s Jaroslaw Maurycy got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Deacon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Oliszewski in the 28th minute of play. Jaroslaw Maurycy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Marcus Deacon made a huge save. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mayo's goalie and right to Hilario Izquierdo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mayo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Marcus Deacon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaroslaw Maurycy in the 38th minute. Jaroslaw Maurycy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Deacon came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaroslaw Maurycy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 41st minute. Oliver Kan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Robins, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Idacio Ballejos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cyprian Oliszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Deacon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cyprian Oliszewski struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Marcus Deacon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ORIZABA F.C.. Cyprian Oliszewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Deacon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cyprian Oliszewski ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprian Oliszewski in the 65th minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
